ABOUT US

WELCOME TO MORGL

We are MORGL – Markham “Old-timer” Recreational Golf League.

This is a mix group of friends from baseball, curling, relatives, and neighbours and has evolved from the MORSL baseball league.
We play golf (try to anyways), have drinks and food at Pickering Glen (Formerly Glen Cedars) every Wednesday afternoon.

FORMAT:
We play each Wednesday; weather permitting at Pickering Glen (Formerly Glen Cedars) starting in April (usually May) to September and sometimes into October.
We have 4 foursomes on Wednesday’s afternoon starting at 4:00pm (as the season’s shifts we’ll move up our Tee Times so we are not playing night golf).
Maximum 16 players – first come first serve.
Following the game, we retreat to the golf course lounge or dining room for drinks, food and lots of chastising.

MEMBERSHIP FEES:
No fees
– You are responsible for your own fees, drinks and meals. (Contest fees extra)
Rates: Vary each year approx. $55 for Walkers and $73.00 for Riders (includes HST)

RULES:
Rules are simple – There are no rules.
This is a fun event. Walk or ride your choice. Keep your own or group score… or not (Its only from bragging rights). Move, kick or throw your ball is all good (seasonal rules apply) – Cheating on your score card is your problem, we don’t care, you’re only playing yourself – so be kind.

GLEN CEDARS REWARDS:
If you have not already done so – sign up for the “Pickering Glen” Reward program, it entitles you to get a couple of bucks back after each round plus entry into their weekly draw for prizes like a free round. FYI – points are given for meals and drinks too – a great deal for us.

MORGL CONTESTS:

2 Man Scramble
